"Dialogue between Chinese and Australian Young Scholars: Multimodal Image Fusion Technology and the Digital Revitalization of Grotto Fresco Preservation"
II. Project Content
The project organized young scholars from China and Australia to carry out systematic discussions and exchanges on cutting-edge technologies such as multimodal image fusion, intelligent image segmentation and recognition of grotto murals and 3D reconstruction; Students will go to Xumi Mountain in Guyuan, Ningxia, Maiji Mountain in Tianshui, Gansu Province and other grotto sites for field investigation, complete the task of grotto data collection, processing and three-dimensional reconstruction in designated areas, participate in cultural exchange and intangible cultural heritage experience, and promote cross-cultural understanding and academic interaction. The project aims to deepen academic cooperation between China and Australia in the field of digital protection of grotto cultural heritage, disseminate the cultural value of grottoes, assist students to accumulate interdisciplinary research experience, and harvest substantive research achievements and follow-up cooperation opportunities. Excellent scholars are invited to join us to achieve double improvement of international exchange and academic practice ability.

16-45 Australia undergraduate students, graduate students, teaching and research personnel, administrative personnel, think
tank personnel, scholars, etc., a total of 15 people.
Holds a valid Australia passport, is physically and mentally healthy and has no criminal record.

V. Project expenses
The expenses for transportation, accommodation and lectures by project experts during the period of stay in China will be borne by the organizer.
